| Ellen Whitaker total domination at the HOY | |
| Ellen Whitaker, 23, and Equimax Ocolado won her fifth grand-prix success this year at HOY: the Leading Jumper of the Year with the only double clear round in the event. Nick Skelton, another Devoucoux rider, who won the first of his four Leading Jumper of the Year titles in 1980, looked set for a fifth after a clear opening round on Carlo, but had to settle for third after one mistake against the clock. Ellen also won the Puissance on Latina B — jumping the wall at 7ft 1in — and earlier gained her second successive Speed Horse of the Year title with Kanselier ! Congratulation to Ellen for her unbelievable wins ! |

| British and Devoucoux riders rule! | |
| Congratulation to the British Team for winning Gold Medal at the European Championship! Devoucoux riders Oliver Townend and Nicola Wilson are part of this brilliant team. Devoucoux rider Piggy French — originally named as a reserve for the British squad — jumped one of only two clear rounds in the show jumping phase to claim the individual silver on Some Day Soon, who she only started competing this year. This is a stunning senior championship debut for the 29-year-old. Another Devoucoux rider made history. Juan Carlos Garcia from Italy became silver medalist with the Italian eventing team after winning also silver at the show jumping European championship with Italy in Windsor this year. |
